ATTENTION 7th Grade students and parents/guardians: An optional - TopicsExpress

ATTENTION 7th Grade students and parents/guardians: An optional test of Prealgebra skills will be given to 7th grade students on Monday. Students with an average of 80% and above are eligible. If the student receives a score of 70% or above on that test, he or she may elect to take Algebra 1 for high school credit next year as an 8th grader. This means the student will be on an accelerated math track. These students must still take 4 years of math while in high school, so the 4th high school math class will be a high-level advanced course, such as Calculus, or the advanced course available at that time.
