ATTENTION ARTISTS: A CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS The Atlanta Speech School will be celebrating its 7th Annual Black History Month throughout February 2014. This years theme, Celebrating the Journey explores the art of storytelling, highlighting individuals journeys to reach their full potential. One aspect of celebration will be the annual art exhibition, displaying work by local African American artists throughout the school. The show will run from February 4 to February 28; the deadline to submit artwork is January 21. Artists are responsible for delivering their work to the Atlanta Speech School (3160 Northside Pkwy, Atlanta, GA 30327) on February 23 and 24. All pieces valued under $5,000 will be insured by the school throughout the duration of the exhibition. While direct sales are not permitted, the Atlanta Speech School is happy to put interested collectors directly in touch with participating artists. Please ensure that submissions are appropriate for young audiences.
