Allow me to appeal to your conscience to assist in improving the quality of life for children in Belize that are most in need – those with special needs and the underprivileged. The Consulate of Belize, in California, in collaboration with Mrs. Kim Simplis Barrow, spouse of the Prime Minister, Special Envoy for Women and Children & Global Ambassador for Special Olympics will host a Gala Banquet and Dance benefitting “The Belize Inspiration Center.” The event will be held on Saturday, October 19, 2013 starting at 7 PM at the downtown Los Angeles Sheraton Hotel. Special guests include: The Honorable Dean Barrow, Prime Minister of Belize and Belize’s Ambassador to the United States, H.E. Nestor Mendez. This entertaining and memorable evening will consist of a VIP Reception, Silent Auction of Authentic Belizean Products and Travel Packages, and Live Entertainment, dancing to the sounds of King Rancho and the New Wave Band. The Master of Ceremonies for this event is KJLH popular radio personality, Mr. Hugh Fuller. Our goal is to raise at least $40,000, which will go directly to benefit the Therapy Room of the Belize Inspiration Center. The Therapy Room will require constant and ongoing support to keep all the therapeutic and developmental equipment in a highly functional and operational condition. How can you help us to achieve our Goal? First, we ask that you make an early commitment to attend the $100 per person Gala Banquet and Dance.
