ATTENTION: Brides and Grooms. I dont want to sound like Im - TopicsExpress

ATTENTION: Brides and Grooms. I dont want to sound like Im preaching to the choir, but...Id like to share an email we recently received from another disappointed bride and groom. Hopefully this helps future couples from having the same feelings after they receive their wedding photography. Hello, I know that this is going to be a strange request but Im not quite sure what to do. In an effort to save money, my husband and I had a friend of the family take our wedding pictures and while she got some nice shots, the image quality (lighting, etc.) isnt the best. I have tried various photo editing software but I havent had very good results as I have no idea what I should be doing with them. Is there any chance that you would be willing to retouch a small number of digital images for a fee? If not, do you have any suggestions of anyone who might? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Sincerely...(a very disappointed and sad couple) When searching for your wedding photographer, please do your homework months/years prior to your wedding day. Meet with that photographer in person and hand hold their images. Make sure that the quality you see on that piece of paper is the quality that you expect for your wedding portraits. DO NOT book your photographer on pricing that is emailed to you or from viewing their images from their website or facebook. (Even blurry, off-color and dark/light photos can look great on a computer monitor with light that is shining in from behind.) For the very reason that this bride emailed, we ask all local couples to come out and see our latest work, share with us about what they expect from us for their wedding day coverage and discuss pricing accordingly. Technology is constantly changing and we try to stay on the cutting edge of it. Not everyone with a camera is a wedding photographer and not all cameras and lenses produce quality images. There is so much behind the scenes that goes into making your day successful and I cant begin to explain it all here. You DO NOT have a second chance to photograph your wedding. Judy & Kelly
