ATTENTION DETROIT CITIZENS: DETROIT RESIDENTS THAT THE CITY WILL NOT CUT YOUR WATER ON: Get it through your heads, the industrial and corporate structures have not paid THEIR bills and they - like most of Corporate America - are laughing, forcing the Water Authority into seeking a buyout or bailout. Corporate America is just as, or now more, powerful as government and do NOT care about anything but profits. Now that that is said, here is what you can do: VICTIMS/NEEDY: #1. A family of 4 can live on 2 gallons a day indigested. You need 60 gallons a good water a month to live. #2. You can birdbath to keep germs and odors down by putting 3-5 shot glasses of bleach in a gallon jug, mark DO NOT DRINK: 5% BLEACH, and use this to add to heated sink water and bird bath. Strain this birdbath water, place in a bucket or separate gallon jug, and use 2-3 times. The bleach kills all germs. Use pure water for babies. KEEP THESE MARKED JUGS AWAY FROM CHILDREN UNDER A SINK OR LOCKED CLOSET. #3. Minimize your clothes, and have one day of washing EVERYTHING. PRIVATE CITIZENS/ENTREPRENEURS: #1. No one is expecting you to supply your water and raise your water bill, unless you can afford it and wish to. IF you are Democrat, you may wish to donate tap water, and if you are Republican you may wish to sell tap water. Whatever.....just get involved. #2. Create a place where needy citizens can fill their gallon jugs with tap water. If you charge .50¢ per gallon, with a $1 minimum, $2 maximum, you are making a profit of approx 80-90¢ per gallon. PLUS, you are proving solution in an emergency situation AND around $1.50-1.90 cheaper than local stores. Bottom line: You could sell 200 gallons per day, make $100 per day, and that would be on your bill for about $10. $90/day profit. Note: Dont criticize the solution. Some people DO need incentive, and this is a way for EVERYONE to chip in without it being a burden. Make your outside water a Water Station. And do not use garden hoses, because nobody want that water hose taste in their mouths. Chip in DETROIT.......ESPECIALLY you CHURCHES, TEMPLES, MASJIDS, ETC. SOME OF THESE PEOPLE HAVE BABIES, ARE ELDERLY, OR HAVE MEDICAL ISSUES. THINK!
