ATTENTION EVERYONE! Scientists DO NOT get stem cells for research from aborted fetuses! Thats right...THEY DO NOT COME FROM ABORTED FETUSES. They are grown during in-vitro fertilization procedures. The sperm and egg are mixed in the dish which forms several blastocysts. Some are implanted, the rest are stored for a maximum of 4 days before the cells stop multiplying. So be pissed off at these extremely selfish individuals trying to get pregnant because they cant on their own. How dare they! Not at ALS for coming up with a way to fund research that may extend your life or of someone you know. Most importantly, do your own research that doesnt include the first article that pops up in Google, that was planted there by an organization with a biased agenda! If the web address doesnt end in .gov or .edu, then you are reading a compilation of several different articles, and many of them draw conclusions that arent scientifically backed or proven, but are presented as fact.
