ATTENTION: Fundraising event on October 11, 2014, Well Water for Africa Adventure race in Almaden Quicksilver Park Almaden Quicksilver Park the Mockingbird entrance, San Jose CA. This event is challenging, exciting, and fun!!! This is unlike any event that has been done before now. The bigger the team, the bigger the savings!! Entry Fees: Price List without T-shirts. Add $20 for each T-shirt requested. $50 individual. $90 2 person team. $120 3 person team. $140 4 person team. $150 5 person team. 8:30 AM - start Cut-off times/time limit: There is a 8 hr time limit. Cut off time for the event: 4:30 pm. Each participant will be given an envelope the day of the adventure with a descriptive course map with the locations of aid stations. It is the participants objective to find the quickest way to get to each aid station by staying on the designated trails and find their way back to the finish. This can be done as an individual or as a team. This is open to everyone at all skill levels!! There are several ways to get to each aid station. The course will not be marked at all. At 8:30, when I say, Go, the participants will open the envelope and begin their adventure. There are four distances available; 9.7 miles, 6.7 miles, 5.6 miles, and 3.8 miles (the distances can slightly vary depending on the trails you use). There are no trail markings of any sort provided. Each aid station will be labeled on the map and at the station. All of the participant/s must check in and have their map checked off at each aid station. Failure to do so will result in their disqualification. It is important to bring your cell phones as numbers for the ranger station and myself will be provided on the map.
