ATTENTION GARDENERS!!!!! I just finished spraying my tomatoes with copper sulfate (fungicide) on the advice of the Cooperative Extension. I have early blight and septoria leaf spot. This isnt really the issue however. The problem is that there is already the dreaded LATE BLIGHT in Columbia County. This crap destroyed my garden 3 years in a row and I ended up not growing tomatoes for another 2. If you have tomatoes or potatoes growing take precautions NOW! Please at least remove any dead or diseased foliage, make sure theres good air circulation, lay newspaper and/or straw down as mulch and always water from the bottom. For extra safety you can get copper sulfate at Home Depot for $10. Yes, Im a bit manic when it comes to this. I put a lot of work and heart into my garden.
