ATTENTION: INTERNATIONAL BOYS AND MEN’S CHORAL FESTIVAL CONCERT Friday, July 18 at 7:30PM at Ardrey Auditorium, Northern Arizona University The International Boys and Men’s Choral Festival will take place in Flagstaff and Tucson, Arizona from July 14–21, 2014. The festival is a week-long event for boys and men’s choirs, as well as individual singers, from around the United States, China, and Estonia. The festival will be highlighted by public performances in Flagstaff and Tucson. World renowned guest conductors Hirvo Surva (Estonian National Opera Boys Choir and Ravalia Male Chamber Choir) and Julian Ackerley (National Boychoir Chair for the American Choral Directors Association) will conduct repertoire to showcase the various styles of participating choirs. This festival program will feature treble choir music, male choir music, and a grand finale of combined choirs. Selections include Mozart’s Kyrie, Kaks Jubilatsiooni (Two Jubilation) by Estonian René Eespere, She Walks in Beauty by Earlene Rentz, David Wilcox’s Psalm 150, and many more. The concerts will present music of the highest artistic quality and diversity of programming with distinctiveness to enhance audience appeal.
