ATTENTION NASHVILLE/SURROUNDING AREAS!!! We are in URGENT need of a foster for a sweet, very pregnant beagle. I woke up this morning to pleas from a former co. worker. Her neighbor apparently went to rehab and did not make arrangements for her pregnant dog before hand. The mother wants nothing to do with the dog and was going to take her to the shelter, where unfortunately, she and her unborn puppies would be euthanized due to space. This sweet girl (Harmony) is due any day but is showing signs of discomfort so, any day might actually be any minute. One of our fosters has generously offered her a place to safely have her babies but its very temporary, as she has a house full already. But she is able to deliver the puppies and ensure they are safe until we find another foster, willing to take in Harmony and her nursing litter. Eventually, the puppies will be weaned and depending on how many there are, we may decide to split them into smaller groups until they are adopted. We needed to get her to a safe, warm, clean location so these puppies stand a chance and Im so thankful we are able to do so. But thats just the first step right now. We dont know much about Harmonys health as of this moment, because her previous owners, unfortunately, were not able to afford proper vet care.. All we know for sure is shes a sweetheart and deserves the best life possible. She just wants to be loved. We are really going to need some major help with this though.
