ATTENTION: Politics of Saturday, 11 October 2014 Source: myjoyonline NPP Nasara Coordinator dares to weed out party moles Ghana Npp Logo The National Coordinator of the Nasara Club of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kamal-Deen Abdulai has strongly condemned what he described as the increasing display of disloyalty by some members of the party. According to him, the conduct of some leading members in the run up to its presidential primaries on October 18th, proves that some people are working fervently to keep the NPP in opposition. Kamal-Deens comment is a subtle response to former General Secretary of the party, Nana Ohene Ntow who has warned of dire consequences, should the party retain Nana Akufo-Addo as flagbearer for the 2016 general elections. Ohene Ntow as spokesperson for flagbearer aspirant, Alan Kyerematen maintained that only his candidate can win power for the NPP, contrary to expectation by some members within the party. But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Friday, Kamal-Deen said Ohene Ntow’s loyalty to the NPP is “questionable”. He could not fathom why a former General Secretary in an attempt to prop up the chances of his candidate [Alan] in an internal election has thrown his allegiance to the dogs. The Nasara Coordinator noted that if people like Ohene Ntow are not ready to sacrifice for the NPP “they should get out”. “We will not pamper anyone; we need loyal people to work for victory in 2016. We love this party so we will not give anyone an opportunity to destroy it” he stressed. Kamal-Deen cautioned the ‘moles’ in the party to watch their backs because “we will descend on anyone against our victory in 2016”.
