ATTENTION!!! THIS IS ABOUT THE MERGER ISSUE!!! To all of you who are concerned about the possibility of school merger and the fact that a merger will no doubt raise taxes in the city as well as the county while reducing property values, I am asking for your help. A Political Action Committee has been formed to elect good citizens who will stand up to the radical elements we are facing. They have asked 300 citizens to donate $250 each to raise the appropriate funds to make a May 6th election victory possible. I am one of those 300 citizens, but I want to further my ability to raise funds. I am not asking you to donate $250. I am asking for whatever you feel like you can do. What if 100 people donate 20 bucks? Thats an extra $2000 towards the cause. You can bring the money to me, or to Heather at GW Hux and Co. If you dont feel comfortable going through me you can mail a donation to Halifax Citizens-PAC, PO Box 814, Roanoke Rapids NC, 27870. Simply put, you can donate much cheaper than you can pay higher property taxes every year for the rest of your life! Please share this status on your page, get the word out!
