ATTENTION: The Bell County Great Debate hosted by The Big One 106.3fm planning is just about finished. We have been approached by a member of the Bell County League of women voters to inquire about joining forces on this event and it sounds like a great idea! Currently, the event is scheduled for the first full week of May at the Middlesboro Civic Center. The schedule will begin on May 5th at 7pm with candidates for the County Clerk’s race facing off. There will be a three person panel asking a series of questions based on submissions from the public which will also include one question from each panelist themselves. Questions will be of a qualification nature. This is a fact finding debate, not an opportunity for personal attacks. Any candidate that has not contacted Brian or the station yet, please note we are setting a final deadline for participation of May 1st. After that, no exceptions will be made under any circumstances out of consideration to those who have met the deadline. Brian OBrien will moderate this event, but will not be asking any questions of the candidates, that will be left up to the panelists. Even though this is being hosted by 106.3fm, all media is welcome and will be accommodated with ample space for video, audio, and press staff. This event is open to the public.
