ATTENTION: The Institute for Economic Competitiveness at UCF is seeking two students to begin working immediately for the position of research assistant with the Institute. The job involves assisting with the day-to-day duties of the Institute, and responsibilities will include: • Tracking and writing on business developments of the major metropolitan areas for the quarterly Florida Forecast • Gaining knowledge on the structure of the regional economies of Florida • Assisting with the completion and organization of quarterly national and statewide economic forecasts • Conducting academic research in areas of economics and finance • Clerical work such as handling the phones, helping to set up appointments, and handling media inquiries • Other duties as needed Further information regarding the job: • Undergraduate students in Economics, Finance, or related disciplines preferred • Hours will be flexible to your schedule, but you will be required to work between 10-20 hours a week during the semester and more during the breaks. Note: We are looking for student employees who have not yet graduated from their respective program. Preference will be given to those individuals graduating in December 2016 or later, as well as those able to work in the summer.
