ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS: AID URGENTLY NEEDED! It has come to our attention, that we have a local abuse victim who will be in need very soon. Right now, this little boy, Baby Wyatt, is at Childrens Hospital in Detroit, after suffering severe injury at the hands of a non-parent. Details cannot be disclosed, as the investigation is still pending. We want to help support this little boy, and his mother, in their time of need. I am happy to report that Baby Wyatt, after a surgery on Friday November 1st, and much time in the PICU, he was finally moved today (Wednesday, November 6th) to a regular unit of Childrens hospital. This is great news, and bodes well for his recovery. What we are asking for is this: Our family would like to put together a care package for this family. A way to welcome them back home, when Baby Wyatt is well enough. Obviously, we dont know exactly when he will be deemed well enough by the doctors to go home - but were confident hell be heading home at some point, and will probably require some extra healing time once he gets there. To ease this transition time, were looking to gather up what we can of the following specific items, and then whatever other comfort items anyone cares to include. 1: Easy to heat and serve meals. Homemade, or store bought. Please think single serving and freezable. This is our primary objective. Stocking moms freezer, so she can heat and serve meals, and spend more time focused on Wyatt, rather than worrying about cooking. No known food allergies. :) 2: Diapers - size 3. Wipes and creams and powder and stuff would be welcome as well! 3: New or like new clothes for Baby Wyatt. Hes currently in a 12 - 18 month size range, but well accept 2 T as well. 4: Whole milk for Baby Wyatt. Those are the main things we are looking to gather. Wed like to try to gather these items by Friday November 22nd, with a tentative delivery date of Saturday, November 23rd, so please let us know as soon as possible if you can help. We based this timeframe on the amount of rehabilitation Wyatt is expected to have in-hospital as of the present moment. This timeframe may be shortened or extended, depending on his recovery.
