ATTENTION VOLUNTEERS: Today, CMS will begin an update to the Volunteer Management System in order to address the following issues: • There are many volunteers in the database who are no longer involved with CMS, resulting insignificant time being spent reviewing criminal monitoring results for volunteers who are no longer involved with CMS. • Many of the email addresses volunteers entered when registering in the CMS volunteer systemare incorrect or no longer valid. This creates considerable problems when CMS sends a mass email through the volunteer system. To rectify these issues, all volunteers will be marked as inactive beginning today. The system will then send out an automatic email to all volunteers asking them to click on a link to verify that they still want to volunteer for 2014-2015. This approach will deal with two issues at once -- we will know who is still active, and we will also know which email addresses are correct. All current CMS registered volunteers will receive several emails informing them of these changes in the CMS Volunteer Management System. Thank You!
