ATTENTION anyone planning a trip to NSW National Parks, BEWARE... the government has now banned smoking in all 860 NSW National Parks. This includes all campgrounds, all park areas, including picnic areas, campgrounds, beaches, lookouts, walking tracks, and on roads in NSW parks. Interesting to read some of their crazy logic and statistics, however we are wondering whether the government consulted 4WD NSW & ACT or any other outdoor recreational organisation before invoking such a widespread ban. No one wants to see cigarette butts littering our national parks or a causing a potential fire hazard, but to put in a total ban? We have to wonder how the governments risk management strategies always seem to be ban, ban, ban! The QLD government classes electronic cigarettes the same as standard cigarettes, we have not heard whether electronic cigarettes are covered under this NSW ban.
