ATTICA RAGE ANNOUNCE UK TOUR AND NEW SINGLE RELEASE Scottish rock - TopicsExpress

ATTICA RAGE ANNOUNCE UK TOUR AND NEW SINGLE RELEASE Scottish rock band ATTICA RAGE have announced a series of UK headline shows taking place later this year, in support of their new album 88MPH. The band will play 9 dates in September across Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, including return visits to London, Manchester, Birmingham and Ballymena in Co. Antrim; first time visits to Kendal, Sutton-in-Ashfield and Cardiff and a special homecoming show in Glasgow. Guest supports will be some of the finest up n’ coming new rock & metal bands from each location, including Fantasist, Estrella, Dakesis, Captain Horizon, The Goddamn Electric and many more. Attica Rage kick-start the tour at the Cambridge Rock Festival on Sunday 4 August, opening the main stage for The Animals and Magnum. Other summer events include headlining the Alba West Custom and Classic Bike Show in Stevenston, Ayrshire on 29 June and a special birthday party at the Eccies Club in Helsby, Cheshire on 6 July for two of their biggest fans, Ed Brereton & Dave Thompson - two of the many fans to have Attica Rage skull logo tattoos! Attica Rage also release a new double-track single ‘LONG RIDE HOME’ from 88MPH via Off Yer Rocka on Monday 8th July 2013, available to download from iTunes and all major music stores. The second track is a previously-unreleased live version of ‘ROAD DOG FOREVER’ and a live video will accompany the release. A promotional video from album producer roddymacaudio, showing the studio recording of ‘Long Ride Home’, will also be posted online. Both videos will be available to watch on YouTube. “Those two songs together tell two sides of the same story” explains singer Jonny Parr. “Where Road Dog Forever is an all-out celebration of life on the road and devotion to the rock ‘n roll lifestyle, Long Ride Home is the anti-thesis - it’s the harder part of being away from home, missing loved-ones and ultimately dealing with the choices that have been made along the way.” New album 88MPH was released worldwide with an official launch at Hard Rock Hell VI last year and has been welcomed by fans with positive reviews amongst the rock press. ‘Long Ride Home’ is the third single to be released from 88PH - ‘Killer Carousel’ was available as a free download during the album launch and follow-up single ‘Beyond Forever’ was released in March. Attica Rage have toured continuously over the last few years taking their distinctive biker rock n’ metal sounds across UK & Europe at headline shows and festivals including High Voltage, Hard Rock Hell, Bulldog Bash, Metalcamp Slovenia, Hammerfest, HRH Road Trip Ibiza and the Boardie BBQ at Download. In summer 2012, the band performed at the Metal Hammer Golden Gods 2012 awards pre-show boat party, onboard ‘HMS Hammer’, with Shadows Fall and Fozzy plus hundreds of fans and industry as it sailed along the River Thames in London. 2013 sees the Glasgow-based quartet back out on the road for summer festivals and a UK tour in September, with new album single and live video releases throughout the year.
