Beat is a monthly outdoor marketplace designed to support working creatives by bringing together independent artisans and patrons in a unique outdoor setting, by providing a modern retail space in one of the city’s most celebrated and eclectic neighborhoods. This model is based on the Frenchmen Art Market in New Orleans, Louisiana. Frenchmen Street is known for it’s live music venues and attracts locals and tourists alike. It was conceived in an effort to support New Orleans vast creative community in a pragmatic manner. The night market will function as any show or festival would, except its at night, which makes it way more rad. Each vendor will have a 10x10 space to sell their wares. We are looking for artists, makers, and will save a space or two for you lovers and pickers of vintage attire, as it most definitely fits with the vision of the market.
