ATTN: Excellus BC/BS Employees We have just received a letter from Excellus regarding waiving co-payments for Excellus BC/BS employees participating in the Spine Health Program. The effective dates of service are 01 Jan 2015 till 31 Dec 2015 and waived copayments apply only for services related to diagnosis of neck or back pain. For those of you with high deductibles, you must first meet your deductible and then all care rendered within defined time frame will be paid for in full by Excellus. The purpose of this pilot is to help drive care to Spine Pathway Trained Practitioners (SPTPs) so that the programs value can be measured and compared to other modalities of treatment for neck and back pain in terms of outcomes and cost. Since Dr. Fralick and I are SPTPs participating in this program this will apply to care rendered in our office. We will be contacting Customer Care at Excellus on Monday to clarify the information outlined in this letter and will keep you abreast of all new information we obtain.
