ATTN JEDI WARRIOR GREAT NEWS!!!: Posted by Cynthia Law/Bird. We Jedi Warriors are Honored to have been invited to WALK IN the Portland Rose Festivals Grand Floral Parade on Saturday, June 7th with Dr. Brian Druker and the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute. Dr. Brian Druker, led the development and clinical trials of the drug Gleevec for Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML). Gleevec was the first of its kind, highly successful daily oral medication to target damaged cells, leave healthy cells alone and cause minimal side effects. Dr. Druker will be in the Grand Floral Parade on Saturday June 7th as part of the Portland Rose Festivals support of the Knight Cancer Challenge. Monique/Chicken and I have been invited to walk behind Dr. Drukers car carrying a very large check in the amount of $100,000! The gracious donor will be announced on Saturday.
