Spoken word requirements to be advised asap. NB As the opera will be sung in English, all Magic Flute exceprts will be required IN ENGLISH. Any other requirements are outlined on the audition rep list download. Please check your performance availability before applying (below). Performances: 4-5 nights over June 29th - July 5th 2014 (including technical and dress rehearsal) Venue: The Crescent Theatre, Sheepcote Street, Birmingham UK Director: Sarah Helsby-Hughes Musical Director: James Longstaffe. Professional orchestra. Excellent chorus. NB Music rehearsals will begin March 2014 and will take place in Birmingham and surrounding area. Floor rehearsals (similar venue spread) will begin April 2014 and will require all principals to be off-copy when they reach the floor. IMPORTANT: As an amateur company Midland Opera has no budget to pay fees to principal singers, but are accustomed to the willing engagement of aspiring and professional singers, delighted to work with us and gain valuable experience, whilst building their portfolio.
