AUGUST 30 , 2013 . GRIEF AWARENESS DAY . I have been subjected to pictures and postings of you pregnant stomachs , your kids first potty trip , your newest piercing , newest tattoo , your vacations , your kids or grand kids drinking juice , your vegetable garden , you in drag , your Halloween costume , a family cook out , or you walkathon or race for this or that , just to name a few , quiet frankly , the most - I could have cared less about , however - they were important to you , and I showed you respect . August 30 is a very important date to myself and many to whom I care about . So all we are asking is for the same - some support , compassion , and respect . Please , wear a butterfly in support , either jewelry , draw one on the back of your hand , put one on your FB wall , or even a like , to show your support . That is all we are trying to do is make public awareness , break the myths , understand , listen , show some support & compassion . Thank you
