AUSTIN — With 34 states now requiring some form of identification at the polls, former president Bill Clinton and civil rights leader Andrew Young on Wednesday endorsed the idea of adding photos to Social Security cards as a way to prevent voter suppression. The two made the recommendation in separate appearances at a conference at the Lyndon B. Johnson presidential library, which is commemorating the 50th anniversary of the passage of the Civil Rights Act. ================================================ This seems to be a reasonable approach. It beats the longstanding obstructionism and deflections from the Left on photo I/Ds. Calling it some Right wing plot must have lost its staying power, with the new focus on those meanies, the Koch Brothers. washingtonpost/politics/2014/04/09/7bc3b490-c044-11e3-b574-f8748871856a_story.html
