AUTHOR FRIENDS (or anyone else wishing to comment): As Ive just been asked if Im going to work on my hobby again tonight, Im pondering my decisions. This weekend my oldest came home to accuse me of being stuck to my computer...look around, sweetheart, what is everyone else doing in our home? I spent 13 years as a stay at home mother. I went back to school to get my masters when my youngest was four so timing would work out that I returned to work outside the home when she was six and in first grade. Im a teacher so my schedule coincides with my children. I cook, clean, cart kids, schedule, do laundry, shop, etc...for twenty years. Now I want five minutes to myself and fulfill my dream separate from them and Im feeling guilty for it. So do you have a loving, supportive, understanding, encouraging family...or not? Because this is why I didnt tell anyone I was writing a book and this is why I didnt mention it to the rest of my family until after I hit publish. RANT over - holidays coming - I just cant go there...
