AUTO ELECTRICIAN QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS · Grade 12 with N2 or N3; ·Trade certificate as Auto Electrician; ·Minimum of two (2) years experience working on earthmoving equipment, i.e. CATs; ·Minimum of two (2) years experience as Auto Electrician; ·Valid code B/EB driving licence. KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS · Computer literacy in MS Office and discipline specific software; ·Knowledge of risk assessment, lock out procedure, specific equipment, lifting equipment and engineering processes; ·Must possess tool handling, basic rigging, fault finding, problem solving, supervisory, communication, organising and planning skills. KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE, INTER ALIA: · Adhere to all applicable safety, health and environmental practices and procedures; ·Support and assist with change initiatives; ·Identify and eliminate waste; ·Support agreed development actions; ·Develop and maintain productive relations with internal and external customers; ·Supervise team performance and develop and coach team members; ·Ensure workshop is clean and neat at all times; ·Schedule and organise workload, spares, tools and resources; ·Execute work according to work order in a timely and accurate manner; ·Conduct risk assessment in own area of work; ·Perform asset care activities as required; ·Ensure tools and equipment are inspected, maintained and controlled; ·Ensure effective maintenance administration; ·Routine auto electrical maintenance and repairs; ·Ad hoc, any other reasonable duties as and when requested from time to time. Appointment: Remuneration will be based on a competitive all-inclusive flexible package. Probation Period: 3 months The successful incumbent will be appointed subject to being certified medically fit as per the Mine Health and Safety Act 29/1996 and meeting the requirements of the Companys Code of Practice – Minimum Standards of Fitness to perform work at a Mine. He/she may also undergo a psychometric assessment. The above mentioned position is C2 on the Patterson grading system.
