AUsome Weekend with my kiddos!!! Celebrated J Michael Rileys 17th bday with a BIG win on The Plains! IN the words of McKayla, tailgating, college football, police stations and deep conversations make for a great day! ......these moments have been priceless! ....As I sit here on Sunday night, reflecting on the happy times shared, I cant help but think about the AWESOMENESS of God! So many times in the past, I have clung to the gifts HE would bring....as if the measure of my worth had something to do with the magnitude of the moments shared.... .....That somehow my joy was dependent on the laughter and on the event being played out as planned! (can I get an amen from my mom friends who feel the need to orchestrate the FUN Factor for their families!?!?) What I have learned in recent months, is that His love is ENOUGH! That no amount of planning....or clinging... or striving is going to increase the value of the moments HE brings! That when I simply let go and surrender my desires to HIM...the outcome matters very little! He is in every moment, and is worthy of our TRUST! What HE brings is Enough! He IS on our side! He is fighting FOR us..... We can REST! Delight yourself in the Lord, and HE will give you the desires of your heart! Psalm 37:4 WAR EAGLE!!! Happy Birthday, J.Michael!!!! and GO God!!!! (Have I mentioned lately that I am His FAVORITE!!!??) :)
