AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION! Meet Zoey.. Gorgeous, affectionate, bully babe Zoey is a 3-year old mix of American Staffordshire Terrier, Boxer, Mastiff, and Mutt. We know that because we had her DNA tested! She has nice manners in the house, is house-trained and crate-trained so she can either sleep in her crate at night in your bedroom or on her own doggy bed near you. She knows the commands sit, down, stay, come, and gentle. We’d like her new family to continue to practice those with her. It is good mental exercise which is just as important as some daily physical exercise. Zoey is great in the car, likes belly rubs, doggy toys, and playing fetch with tennis balls is her favorite game. She is sweet and affectionate with people she knows, and is cautious and wary of people she does not know and will bark at them at first to let you know there is a stranger on the scene. She is great with kids, and will probably do best with older kids so they will understand how to appropriately live and play with her, because a more calm household suits her better than a lot of zooming in-and-out of the house action. Zoey’s ideal new family will have a yard for her to play in, and someone to take her for a walk would be good. She doesn’t care about other dogs a distance, but is sometimes stressed-out about other dogs in her space, so we think it best that she be the only dog at home, or maybe be with a gentle, polite male dog her size, and no cats. Zoey does not need a lot of adventures; she appreciates a fairly consistent routine. She’s content just to hang out with her people and soak up their love, and she easily loves in return.
