AVOID THE SET UP Satans first order of business on his appearance in eden was to disregard established orderly authority in the family (headship of Adam in his family) and engage outside of protocol (trigger discussion with the one who received secondary information without cross-referencing the primary person)! One of mankinds first errors was to engage on matters meant to flow from authority with one outside the same (Eve - attempting to answer without deferring the question as appropriate, and Adam accepting an alternative viewpoint despite clear knowledge of what had been directed and established). The external entity seemed to have their good at heart, and even offered alternative perspectives, yet for that one step we are all still paying to date - labour/sweat, thorns, thistles, briers, etc! Avoid troubling your family and your lineage. Many comments by external entities (workmates, friends, relatives, ministry colleagues, business associates, bosses, etc.) on how your spouse should be treating you or how they would conduct themselves were they your spouse are an echo from the author of confusion, and is the same voice just not through a serpent this time! Any attempt by those who are not your godly set authorities to present direction on matters that you should be directly discussing with your spouse, however well intentioned they may seem, is a potential snare. It may appear nourishing to your mind/emotions (good for food), have the allure of the new and different (pleasing to the eyes), or even seem to provide the cutting edge through additional insight (desirable for making one wise), but its a SET UP. The only likely game-changing from this disorderly situation is to lower your game! Learn from history, or you will repeat history, and become history! Choose today to shut out the strange, alternative, disorderly and illegal voices inserting themselves into authority chains in your life, however appealing they appear to the ears and eyes. Listen keenly to the godly authorities set over your life especially in church, in ministry, and in the home, and pray/believe God for them to be guided well from on-high for your sake. Instead of much banter, debate, critiquing and suspicion, pray for the authorities over your life. Really. Have a great week people!
