AWARENESS FOR MY SWEET BOY ~ Nickson Philip Rusecky GOD gave you to us to be your family, to love you, guide you & to complete OUR FAMILY! As you grew & had no words at the age of 2, I WAS DEVASTATED! After an evaluation, a diagnosis of VERBAL APRAXIA was given. We were sad & lost, but relieved to know why. We jumped into the world of intense speech therapy & gave you your words through sign language! YOUR HARD WORK PAID OFF PAL & you became understood with REAL, CLEAR WORDS by the age of 4! VERBAL APRAXIA still effects you with those muscles that just dont have good tone. Those painful knees & the constant drooling just wont quit! I will do the best I can to educate those around you & help you tell your story! It isnt easy to tell your friends THAT GOD MADE ME THIS WAY & MY MOUTH MUSCLES JUST DONT WORK! JUST TELL ME TO SUCK UP MY SPIT SO I DONT GROSS YOU OUT! If you have children in My Sweet Boys life PLEASE help them understand Nick! He cant help that he drools & it makes him SAD when kids say EWWWW! Mom & Dad are working with school to help your friends better understand & we will continue to help you know what to tell them! We continue to count our BLESSINGS for your ability to have words & PRAY for the world to understand! MOMMY, DADDY, BUBBA & AUSTIN LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
