Aaron Morrisons weather discussion for today...... Patchy fog - TopicsExpress

Aaron Morrisons weather discussion for today...... Patchy fog this morning for locations that saw heavy showers and storms yesterday. The fog will quickly lift as the sun rises and the big heat up will begin as temperatures begin to soar to the century mark by weeks end. Today looks to be the last day to see any measurable rain across the viewing area, as the high settles in and suppresses any chance of rain through the end of the week. As the high pressure settles in over the region, sinking air will keep skies virtually cloudless and allow maximum sunshine as well as dangerous levels of UV radiation. Highs the next two days will climb into the upper 90s while the end of the work week, highs will flirt with the century mark. Saturday and possibly Sunday, look to be our to best days to hit the century mark. However, it will feel much hotter out there, these two days will be two of the muggiest and heat indices will be near or above 105 degrees, possibly prompting a heat advisory. As next week dawns, the heat will slowly break down as the high pressure shifts off to the east. Rain chances slowly increase due to the possibility of a sea breeze front making its way further inland. Any rain these two days would be confined South of I-20. Temperatures the first part of next week however will still be in the upper 90s. We are dealing with a dangerous stretch of heat and its always important to remember the three ps. People, Pets, and Plants, make sure everything is done to keep these things safe and make sure to stay hydrated.
