Abby went missing from Tilghman Island, MD on July 4, 2013. She was 18 months old and weighed 85 lbs. at the time of her disappearance. She is spayed, microchipped and is a companion animal to wounded warriors through Operation Second Chance. Abby has a cropped tail that is barely visible and the sclera of her right eye is brown after eye surgery. Her eye lids never fully formed and she also had hair follicles growing in her eyes. The vet had to make two V incisions to pull her eye lids shut. She had about 6 stitches in both sides. He had hoped that this procedure would help bring her pupil down, which did if you saw her eye before and after, however, her pupil remains very high in her socket. The hairs should not grow back, but the entire pigment of her eye, which is normally white, will always be brown. Abby is dearly loved by her family and the wounded warriors she assists. We ask that you check all female Rottweilers for a microchip, post her flyer in your lobby and on your Facebook/Social Media page, and share her information in your community including shelters, animal control officers, rescues and other vets. If you have seen a female Rottweiler in the past year that has a brown sclera and matches Abby’s description, please contact her owner, Cindy McGrew, at 301-938-2834. Thank you!
