Abby wrote an essay for an industry scholarship yesterday...and I wish everyone could read it (though she would be horrified). They asked her to write about special circumstances that have affected her in high school. She talks about why she wants to be a nurse...and how she shared wanting to work in healthcare with Maddy. She wanted me to read it and suggest changes...I didnt change one thing. I really hope they look at her transcripts to see her grades have gone up since her sisters death...she understands life is an opportunity not everyone has to live out. Everyone would understand if she had struggled in school but in her mind, she has two to do well for now. It has shaped her in a positive way....I know that sounds wierd but it is true. No idea how you could read it and not award it to her...but then I may be a little biased. Good job Abs!
