Abdullahi Alikheyr Writes at the end: Its all a bout Giving back to the community: I was impressed to see the moving story of a young nomadic girl whose story was aired both the print and the social media of her tough quest in fulfilling her educational dreams recently,after beating against the odds and topping her school in the last Kcpe examination. That is Najmas story by one of our very own northern based freelance journalist now working with the county s directorate of communication. Yussuf korow. Today I was also amazed and glad to witness far a way from my homeland, Najma being part of the beneficiaries of wings to fly by equity Group foundation. Coming from a dusty,drought ravaged zone in northern kenya( garissa county) after , according to Mr. Korow, Najma was taking care of her bedridden aged father at a place known as Alikune. Am told Najma today at kasarani gymnasium,Nairobi was so close almost to rup shoulders with the head of republic, what a freind termed it as a dream come true for the young poor lady. As a bonifide resident of northern kenya,I will convey my sincere gratitude and pleasures, first to the founders of Equity wings to fly foundation for helping young and disadvantaged Kenyans,speacially from northern frontiers like Najma and two other ladies from Mandera who were in similar situation after emerging top in their school despite the sporadic clan feuds in Mandera. 2nd. To all Garissa and northern kenya residents who prayed so hard after reading Najmas plight in all various cyberspace in the country,and also the local journalist based in Garissa who compel her story to be in the print. We thank you all. 3rd. My sincere prayer to all Muslim disadvantaged communities who bear the same problem,May Allah subhannah show the brighter part of life in this world and heafter. I urge all of you my brothers and sisters in faith to make use of your education and stand for the voiceless within our communty. To Cap it all, My hurrrahs and congrats to my former schoolmate, Mr. Korow and all who took part in the journey of endeavors regarding Najmas world.
