Abdullahi Bashir Aliyu Muri IT IS THE CHADIAN AND CAMEROONIAN FORCES THAT WE ARE FIGHTING BUT NOT BOKO HARAM! *Nigerians should please wake up because our invaders are Chadians and Cameroonians but not the Boko Haram. It is unfortunate that those establishments responsible for directing our (a) foreign policy; (b) security policy and (c) security policy have failed to alert Nigerians and the federal government that it is not the forces of Boko Haram that we are facing but external aggressors. One Cameroon would be happy to take over the Bakassi and perhaps the whole of Niger Delta if Nigeria collapses while Chad may wish to take the possession of the oil and gas reserves in the Chad basin area of Nigeria.. * (a) if Nigeria had good foreign policy analysts the type of Profs Bolaji Akinyemi and Ibrahim Gambari in charge they would have re-directed our foreign policy to make us survive the situation. For example: (a) How can Nigeria a country lacking strong leadership and stable government pursue a radical foreign policy aspiring regional leadership in West Africa when we know that this is a direct challenge against the French interest in the region? *Specifically Nigerias aspiration of being the regional policeman through the instrument of ECOMOG which aims at pushing out France to the fringes is a tactical blunder on our part. With this for sure France would have lost its relevance among the Francophone countries. The crux of the matter is that Nigeria has stepped on the French toe and the Boko Haram is the price we are paying. *Again our foreign policy analyst did not warn the Nigerian government in good time to become wary of both Chad and Cameroon with whom we fought in the 1980s as natural enemies. (b) Our security analysts are also to blame for not informing the government that this Boko Haram thing is not religious at all but a conspiracy in which external hands are involved. *Even a foolish analyst would stop to ask himself why is the problem even though thought to be religious with the objective of establishing an Islamic state become linited to the North eastern states bounded by Chad and Cameroon? *As if it is only in the North east that Muslims with the quest of establishing sharia and Islamic government exist? If this was understood much earlier the security analysts in Aso Drive would have fingered the real Boko Haram which are the Chadians and Cameroonians! *In addition one would have asked why our analysts of security did not establish a pattern long ago in what happened in the Central Africa Republic where the same Chadian forceds were used by France to destroy that country with their variant of Boko Haram they called the Saleka? Or failing to draw any lesson from what happened in Mali where the same Chadians played an errand for the French? Or even in Cote de Ivoire ealier? All which occurrences do not differ from what Nigeria is facing today. (c) In the same vein much as the Nigerian foreign policy and security analysts have failed the defence analysts are even worst! *You may begin to wonder why our defence analysts failed to realise that no war could be won against an enemy that operates along an international boundry which gives the enemy a free supply line. *It is for this reason that in that today in the north east both the Chadian and Cameroonian troops operate freely with little hindrances under the cover of Boko Haram. *It is also a pity that Nigerian defence analysts would swallow every lie that the Cameroonian would dish out to us of either killing the insurgents or seizing catches of arms from them! *It is a pity that our analysts do not see the danger of sharing intelligence information with foreigners who are the real enemies! It is a pity and worst when it is our President going to France or Chad looking for help and cooperation when they are the real enemies! *Why cant we see that all these convoys that come freely into Nigeria to attack us and melt away do so from the neighbouring Cameroon or Chad? How can the Nigerian army fight and win a war against our neighbouring countries that are backed up by an imperialist power? *We advise that as an urgent remedy Nigeria should close its border. Indeed failing to close our borders would make the Chadian and Cameroonian troops to establish their bases in the area they conquered. *It would be catastrophic if these foreign countries talke over Maiduguri. Taking over Maiduguri would open the airport there for free use by the enemy! At all cost Maiduguri should not be allowed to fall! We need an urgent massive deployment of our troops along the borders. *Sending 500 soldiers is not enough we need at least two army divisions there because it is an external agressor that we are facing. Apart from closing our borders we must also control our air space. *We must strike on the enemy with all our air power because it is no longer a rag tag army facing us. *Now is the time to support our soldiers! They are all our heroes not only the son of Obasanjo! Like · 35 · Reply · 4 hours ago 13 replies
