Abdur Rab new VC of Eastern Univ Professor Abdur Rab, former pro-vice-chancellor of Eastern University, has joined the university as the vice-chancellor this month, said a press release. Prior to this appointment he taught and occupied various top administrative positions in some of the leading public and private universities of Bangladesh and in several reputed national and international institutions for more than a decade. Professor Rab was director of the Institute of Business Administration of the University of Dhaka, president of the Association of Management Development Institute in South Asia and chairman of the Institute of Management Consultants of Bangladesh. Professor Abdur Rab studied at Dhaka University, Indiana University in the USA and the University of Belgrade from where he got his doctorate degree. He is also a certified management consultant from Australia.
