About 15 minutes ago, I called Nancy and conceded defeat. With 66% of the precincts reporting, she has increased her lead with the Election Day vote. She now has 3486 (54.5%) to my 2894 (45.2%). I pledged my continued support of Nancy to help rebuild the Democratic Party in the State of Tennessee. FYI, for those of you who tried to follow the results from the DCEC website, for the second election in a row, they are stuck at 1%, but Channel 3 is regularly updating the results. I am proud of the campaign I ran and cannot express my appreciation to all who helped in so many ways. Once again, I hope you will join me on Wednesday, August 20, so that I can thank each and every one of my volunteers for their hard work. Now lets everybody get some sleep. We have a lot of work to do between now and November 4.
