About 2 wheelbarrows full of dirt to remove and the bulk is out. I bought the hose today so I can get the levels and a heavy duty 2 wheel trolly so I can collect the stone and paving material, which Ive already started doing. I have to measure the space and figure out how much sand Ill need to cover the era that I dug out, by two to three inches deep, so I have something to bed the different thicknesses of the paving stone into and to get the slight slope for drainage. The last two photos are of the chisel that I found today while detecting, on my way home from town. I would almost bet it is from the early gold rush days from the look of it but Im going to put it back to work splitting the stone I need for the paving. :)
