About 3 wks in Tias cell count began to drop from High-Cy chemo. Slowly at first then very quickly, started noticing alot of broken off hair in bed so i began taking down her braided hair not much had come out but within the next few days it was shedding bad to the point where pieces were here and there so i cut it dwn to slow the process. Started noticing her getn very agitated and nothing would calm her dwn thought maybe since her system was being flushed she wasnt absorbing meds, so we switched all we could to IV but nothing really helped. Bout week 4 Tia is having a really bad day, called in nurse because she seemed as if she was air hungry her O2 level was good but she was dragn her breathes n didnt look comfortable. When nurse came things got worse had to start bagging her and her heart rate n O2 had dropped in 60-70s once they bag patient irs a code so MET team came in bout 10 or more people filled rm and we were off to ICU. They started running lots of tests ct, eeg, mri, x-rays. One of the x-rays showed collapsed area of lungs and they were very cloudy. Next morning more chest xrays this time found several small spots on lungs thought to be fungal infect. The infectious disease Drs recommended several antibiotics she was started on. I want to say later that day Tia popped up threw up then her heart stopped total flat line they rush in start heart compressions and her heart rate jumped back up to 98 oxygen 100 this happened maybe 7 times over week period few times they did compressions others she just started back up on her own.
