About 300 young men and women will participate in 4th-annual Latino Student College Fair hosted by the City’s Hispanic Heritage Month Committee from 9 am. to 1 pm Friday, Oct. 10 at the MCC Damon Campus on East Main Street More than a dozen universities, colleges and employers will participate in the Fair, including the University of Rochester, Rochester Institute of Technology, Monroe Community College, Wegmans, the United Way of Greater Rochester and The Puerto Rican Festival Inc. In addition to providing prospective students an opportunity to learn more about colleges and the college-admissions process, the Latino Student College Fair will feature seminars and panel discussions on such topics as essay writing and financial aid. Hispanic Heritage Month takes place each year from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15.
