About 358 am I received a phone call that a family member had slit their wrists and is currently at the hospital. I am sharing this to urge people out there who have mental health issues, or know someone with metal health issues to go out and get the help that they need. The low opinion of people with depression, just needing to get over it or that they are weak if they go to seek help or what ever hangup society on a whole with mental health issues really need to cease immediately. PEOPLE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE MADE TO FEEL EMBARRASSED BECAUSE THEY ARE SICK. Really, what the hell is the matter with the public that they would have to go as far to judge and belittle an individual over something that they cannot control, to the point that they are too proud or embarrassed to seek out help that they need? Needless to say I will not be too keen on jokes/comments regarding someones mental health, this also needs to cease and not be encouraged.
