About 5 years ago I got called, for the first time in my life, to be a juror. The case centered around a daughter and brother who basically offed their father/mother and continued to collect their social security checks. It was the first time I met Judge Candidate Diana Tennis. I gotta tell ya…she blew me away. Here were sitting in a pool of 50 people and after 1 introduction she was capable of going through and reciting every one of our 50 names from memory. I was pretty impressed. But, I became more impressed as I watched her navigate through the process of selecting the jury. She was keenly smart, extremely articulate and I thought to myself…self, if you ever need a lawyer…call Diana. Over the years, of course, I watched her speak publicly as an analyst for various high profile cases, like we all have. I continued to enjoy how she showed impartiality by way of citing case law governing her words very closely. BTW: I ultimately wasnt selected for the jury as I asked the question, what percentage do you assign to reasonable doubt to determine someone is guilty? The judge wasnt happy with the question as many jurors then asked the same question:) I was pleased to learn Diana was running for Judge. As a person who has signed up to be a volunteer on her campaign…let me tell you what you may not know. This lady is extremely well organized. In fact, if she ever decides to move out of the legal arena into PR/Marketing I hope its not my job she seeks, lol. She has a thorough grasp of how she wants her campaign to reflect her in her quest to be Judge. Also, as a person in PR/Marketing, I have to applaud her campaign approach. Shes taken a relatively difficult job of elevating her brand to be Judge with simple yet persuasive tools to entice her audience. i.e.: the bouncing tennis ball as part of her logo…for example. Its simple…but also very easy to remember. With all of the unique challenges Judge candidates have in introducing themselves to the community…separating yourself from the pack is critically important. While I can appreciate her opponent too is a contender, and I mean no disrespect, I have to openly suggest my support and endorsement of Diana Tennis for Judge. Anyone willing to work this hard to ultimately serve the citizens of Orange & Osceola County has my respect and admiration. And lastly, while she cant take positions on issues, I have to admire how freely she works with and engages with all groups including, of course, the LGBT & other minority communities. Simply, if the desire in a Judge is someone who can be fair and reasonably administer the laws of the land, then I believe Diana is the clear choice. And if your sole decision to elect based on experience…well she scores and A+ and has a healthy resume of experience and know doubt knows her way around the courtroom. When I make a decision on who Im going to support…I do it not through Hob Nob straw polls…I do it through how I watch them work for the win and what I learn, first hand, through meeting with them. I invite you to get to know Diana if you havent already. #classact
