About 5 years ago I started a tradition. I would go through my friends list, pick out one or two big time KLANK followers that had their phone numbers in their profile and I would give them a Xmas / holiday call out of the blue and just chat for a while. Thats how I became good friends with a guy named Don Parker from Texas. I called him every year for four years until he unfortunately passed away from cancer. He was such a really nice guy and I miss talking to him. I know how much it meant to Don and how he said it was a comfort to him because I always seemed to call when he was in a lot of pain so I always did my best to crack jokes and put a smile on his face and make him laugh. I am keeping the tradition alive so if any of you happen to get a random phone call from a blocked or unregistered number, it might not be a telemarketer.
