About 6 months ago I found out that I was the product of a rape. I was set to be aborted until my mother heard the voice of the Lord tell her that I would be a great Man of God. Theres a reason I study intently, constantly grow in my ability to articulate the Word distinctly and clearly, seek revelation, preach with passion, shake off criticism, and close so hard my socks get wet. Whats the reason? All the forces to stop my entrance into this world didnt work. I was called before I was born to do this. The circumstances surrounding my birth, the subsequent pain of my childhood, at 19 being alienated from my family because of my decision to join an African American Church, living most of my life without support from those charged to do so, all made me who I am. Like the male version of Naomi I found a father in another culture, Bishop Peter Wren Sr. a family in our church and jurisdiction, unmatched training for my future. NOTHING came easy to me because I was white. I was given equal treatment to become what God designed for me just as the other 30 or so preachers on the staff. I soaked it all in, I went to every service, every prayer meeting, every training session. The discipline that has been a staple in my life from sports, to ministry, and the military, are all still with me. I acclimated to the COGIC style. I have never tried to preach black, or even white for that matter. God placed me in that environment because he wanted to cultivate that type of ministry. 20 years later Im more fired up now to help as many people as I can, to inspire people to live their dream, and bring souls to the life transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ. I am thankful that this pattern has continued in my consist abilty to travel the world, and Pastor New Beginnings Church. Above all else I have a wife Latoiya Stout Perry who loves me unconditionally. Stuck with me through the WIC, EBT cards (modern food stamps), eviction, potential loss of everything when we first married. My three children whom I love dearly, my wifes mom who has always had my back and treats me like her own, and all the great leaders and mentors God has placed in my life. Thank you Bishop Noel Jones, Bishop Blake, Bishop Brandon B. Porter, Bishop TD Jakes, Bishop Henry Fernandez, and so many more. I am glad to be here...and in my country vernacular, I aint goin nowhere!
