About 6 months before our daughter was born, we moved into a new town home. The walls were covered with dark brown, red, and beige paint, but it had serious potential to become a bright and cozy space. It only had windows on the ends, so we wanted to paint every room a bright grey or white to help give off as much natural light as possible. We set our sights on the 2nd floor office to become the nursery. It was the tiniest little room. Four dark brown walls only made it seem that much more claustrophobic. Since I planned to have this be our daughters nursery, I knew I wanted something bright and cheery. The brown had to go. Now, dont get me wrong, I dont hate browns and tans. My tastes have just changed over the years and I want to take advantage of the light that I was offered. So we got to work on this room and its a real stunner now. I cant wait to share the new pictures and show you the process! Follow along, why dont ya? Above was the inspiration for our nursery. I love that its not super girly, but its still feminine.
