About 60 thousand people greeted 2015 in Venice this year, much smaller number then previous years. There was no major concerts, music or even the traditional mass kiss at midnight. The celebration was moved for a first time from Piazza San Marco to Riva degli Schiavoni, where the crowd was able to celebrate without risking the destruction of the main piazza. Twenty minutes of spectacular waterfalls of light, especially in shades of gold were launched from five different platforms. Photos: Corriere Del Veneto.
