About 7,000 years ago a [social] cancer began to grow. Think of it as an infectious form of civilization – the “Younger Culture.” For a recent example, the American Indians, in order to survive at the violent and greedy hands of the Younger Culture European Americans, they had to adopt the same means of self-promotion and violence. When 2 civilizations have lived together and traded together for years, and one becomes infected with this Younger Culture worldview, the only choices the other cultures have are to flee, die or become slaves, or adopt the Younger Culture ways themselves. “Something will save us” beliefs are at the core of Younger Cultures, who can be characterized by two essential beliefs: 1. There is only one right way to live and that is our way. 2. Humans are essentially flawed – [which allows people to rationalize genocide.] Culture is not about what is absolute, real, or true. It’s about what a group of people agrees to “believe” (love). What we believe (love) can be healthy or toxic. And most significantly, we can change what we believe (love).
