About 7 weeks ago, another abandoned pet found its way into my life. During one busy Caravan day, I ran up to the house to get something, door was open and as I hit the step landing....a beautiful flash of a rustic blond, black faced cat came running out the door. My Lulu was down at the lodge, so, she missed the episode. Good thing, shes kinda the boss around here. So, I went around the back to the back of the house and there she was, in the house. She has the most haunting cry...yes, shes a Manx, a beautiful looking girl. Hungry and thirsty, she hesitantly approached her new food and water bowls and dissolved them, poor thing.....Now I have two cats and keeping them apart is going to be tricky. After a few days of talking to her each time I filled her bowls, she let me pet her and even picked her up...low and behold, shes a she and very affectionate. When I was away in Penticton, just got back, my bud Lorne watched my house and business...and of course, looked after the kitties. Well, today, he took her to his and her new home. She was so good about the truck, Gave Lorne food and treats for her to get them started. Looking forward to seeing Lorne later today to hear how the transition went? :)......He really needed her there, she has her nails and there was evidence that shes a hunter in my back rooms lol, so Lorne wont have a mouse/rodent problem any more in and around his cabin....:) Why folks just drop their animals off in our little hamlet, is beyond me? But, everyone of them over the years, dogs and cats, we take them in and give them a home and all the affection that they deserve. Especially after what they must have gone through. Ill get a some pics of her in a bit and post them...All Gods creatures great and small, deserve a home.....:)
