About 9:40am, the killers located a pod of 4 Pacific White Sided - TopicsExpress

About 9:40am, the killers located a pod of 4 Pacific White Sided Dolphins to the north of Taiji. Motivated by the high captive value of this species, the killers were relentless in driving the pod near the mouth of the harbor. At this point, the killers used a large net to surround the pod and usher them to more shallow water. Now contained, killers individually wrestled each dolphin out of the ocean. The killers showed no respect for these sentient beings as they were manhandled, struck, netted and dragged into a skiff. Each dolphin was then transported by the skiff to the nearby harbor pens where they will now remain until they are sold to a marine park to spend the rest of their life tormented by captivity. Whilst Cove Guardians documented the capture, local Coast Guard continued to block the cameras that were recording and capturing this horrific and cruel practice. Pacific White Sided Dolphins are rare and very intelligent. As a result, captive facilities have a high demand of this species and attract a large price. The events of today continue to confirm these hunts are motivated by money and greed. Our Live Stream footage is archived at livestream.seashepherd.org/ — at Taiji Japan.
