About Mr. Green.........Whiley G. Clarkson designed the TCU Stadium (he also designed Sam Rosen Elem., J.P. Elder, NSHS and 37 other schools in FW...) Harlos Green TCU class of 1932 ... during the conference game with SMU in 1929 as a Soph. fullback did the block that got the touchdown and kicked the field goal that tied the game....but a tie was all that was needed to win the SW Conference title....SMU was ahead 7-0 and it was a come from behind win.....with the win in hand Amon G. Carter with $500,000 of his own money and other funding got Whiley Clarkson to design the TCU Amon G. Carter Stadium.. Harlos Greens magic shoe that kicked the field goal, Carter had bronzed and it sits today in the Amon Carter Jrs suite at the stadium.......Mr. Green later principal of Sam Rosen Elementary for many years.
